A proper installation is the cornerstone of a stable, safe, and long-lasting table. At Haida Furniture, we design our commercial metal table legs for straightforward assembly. While different models may have slight variations, the core installation process is simple and consistent. This guide will walk you through the general steps to get your table ready in no time.
Before you begin, unpack all components and check them against the list below. Also, have your tools ready.
Component Checklist
- A-Base Plate: Provides a stable foundation for your table on the floor.
- B-Column: Connects the base plate to the top plate, determining the table’s height.
- C-Top Plate / Bracket: The part that attaches the entire leg assembly to the underside of your tabletop.
- D-Bolts / Screws: The specific hardware included for connecting all parts. Ensure you use the correct size for each step as per the instructions.
- E-Allen Wrench: A specific tool, usually included, for tightening the provided bolts.
- Additional Tools You May Need: Tape Measure, Screwdriver.

The 4-Step General Installation
This is the standard assembly process for most of our metal table legs:
- Assemble the Base: Align the column (B) with the holes on the base plate (A). Use the provided bolts (D) to securely fasten them together.
- Install the Top Plate: Attach the top plate/bracket (C) to the other end of the column (B), and tighten the bolts or screws to secure it.
- Attach the Tabletop: Place the assembled leg assembly onto the center of the tabletop’s underside. Drive screws through the holes on the top plate (C) to fix the leg securely to the tabletop.
/Expert Tip: To ensure perfect centering, you can use a pencil to draw diagonal lines on the underside of the tabletop. The intersection is your center point. - Final Check: Carefully turn the table upright. Gently rock the table to ensure all connections are tight and the entire structure is stable with no wobbling.

Haida Furniture offers various styles to meet different needs.
Please note the following:
- Height Differences: Legs for bar height and dining height tables have different column (B) lengths. Please verify your product specifications before installation.
- Top Plate Holes: Different models may feature different hole patterns on the top plate (C) to accommodate various tabletop sizes.
- Refer to Official Resources: (For a 100% correct installation, always refer to the specific instruction manual included in your product’s box.)
